Childbirth is a natural process that can be encouraged through relaxation of the body and the mind. Emotionally and physically relaxing adds to the birth experience by relieving pain and allowing the mother to experience, understand, and enjoy her birth. These exercises can be used with any childbirth education method and can also help relax a mother healing in postpartum time.

A hypnotic state is a natural relaxed state of the human mind. Hypnosis can be tremendously helpful to a counselor as a catalyst for reaching the subconscious.
