An online education and preparation class for this exciting time can help prepare and support busy parents who are not able to attend a time consuming class. It is also a great refresher for those who have had babies before**** (This course is for expecting parents and can also be taken by birth attendants , educators and practitioners. )

1. Physical; Definitions; Anatomy and Physiology; Stretching, Massage and Kegels.
2. Emotional/Psychological; Relaxations and Visualizations; Breathing Techniques; Meditations; Comfort Measures; Support Person’s Role.
Lesson 3 – Preparing Baby; Prenatal Mental Health; Prebirth Bonding; Early Brain Development; Birth Visualizations.
Lesson 4 – Birthing; The Onset of Labor ; Stages of Labor; Laboring Positions ; Support.
Lesson 5 - Your Newborn.
COURSE GOALS:
- To understand the history of hypnobirthing, Leboyer and Grant-Read birthing techniques, and the mental and emotional development of the womb baby and how they apply to the Magic of Motherhood method.
- To become emotionally ready for birth.
- To become physically ready for birth.
- To have the ability to create the birth experience you want.
- To prepare (mom AND baby) for the labor.
- To prepare (mom AND baby) for the delivery.
- To learn basic newborn management skills.
ABOUT THE MENTOR: Jill Chasse, PhD is a counselor certified in "Handling Loss and Grief " and "Understanding Depression." She has additional training in postpartum depression, maternal mental health, and post traumatic stress disorder. She is a member of the APA and certified by IACT. She also holds an MS in family and developmental psychology and a certification in "Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders."
