Divine Nourishment

This class is designed to introduce you to the rhythm and flow of the Earth’s wisdom through our relationship with nourishment using the Taoist 5 Element system of nutrition.

The Taoists are one of many ancient cultures who embodied their oneness with nature and followed a way of life to support it.

You’ll receive practical information to apply in your daily life that supports you to balance seasonal meals and nourish all your organ systems that is compatible with your lifestyle. You will be given a foundation that not only mirrors back to you your self similarity to nature, but it is a spring board for cooking as a sacred art in co-creation with our Divine Mother Earth. It is a beginning class that lays a basic foundation in which to expand upon and explore how we embody the soul of nature on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

Lesson 1 is an over view of the Taoist approach to seasonal living and eating. It will give you a foundation for recognizing yourself as nature and how eating seasonally can support you to align with it. You are given a large list of foods broken down into the five elemental flavors to choose from so you can balance your meals. You will also be given questions to answer for yourself so you can become clear on where your priorities are and what is realistic with your current lifestyle. It supports you to have a starting point for a seasonal lifestyle that won’t overwhelm you.

Lesson 2 focuses on the importance of winter. It gives you symptoms of kidney health with foods that support it, optimum cooking methods along with sample seasonal shopping lists to support you to bring the seasonal component into you food lists.

Lesson 3 Focuses on the importance of spring and summer and encourages you to take the foundation of your seasonal food lists and begin creating with the abundance of bounty from your local farmer’s markets, gardens, etc.

Lesson 4 Focuses on the importance of late summer and fall. It supports you to ground and balance your food choices, cooking methods, and life so that you may bring the Divine inspiration that wants to come through you into form. It encourages more creativity with the use of spices in your food. By the end of this course you will have a personalized seasonal reference and recipe book.

Each lesson has lessons that build upon each other.

Upon completion of this course you will:
~ Have a foundation in the language of nature using the 5 Element System.
~ Understand how food fits within your current lifestyle as a starting point with step by step support in bringing the seasons into your consciousness, food and cooking methods.
~ Have a personalized notebook that can be continually added to as a seasonal reference guide and recipe book.

About Your Mentor:

Mary Lane, author of Divine Nourishment, A Woman's Sacred Journey with Food: Through Mary’s 30 year career as a professional chef she awakened and deepened her understanding of the connection between food and nourishment, sustainability, the wisdom of nature, sexuality, and the Divine Feminine. She draws upon the wisdom of her own journey and weaves it with her expertise in the ancient Taoist 5 Element System of Nutrition, Plant Spirit Medicine, sacred sexuality, wildcrafting, and professional training as a chef. She is dedicated to supporting women to transform the self rejection buried in the shadowy depths of our unconscious to self care, honor and love.
